What comes to mind when you hear the phrase “power of home”?
This is the interview question that we have presented to many industry leaders who have so graciously given us their time over the past couple of weeks. Chelsia Bradley, an Occupational Therapy student from Washington University’s medical school in Saint Louis, and myself have been building a virtual summit called The Power of Home.
The Power of Home Summit is a five day, event for occupational therapists, healthcare professionals and housing industry leaders in order to facilitate interdisciplinary discussion and relationships within the healthcare and housing industries.
The summit has the core goals:
In one of our interviews, the amazing interior designer, Maegan Blau, stated, “I am only as disabled as my environment.”
Because of the reality that the built environment can make or break one’s health and wellbeing, we feel that this conversation is an important one for all healthcare and housing professionals to take part in. We hope that you will join us online October 18-22 and join in on the movement!
*OTs will be able to get CEUs for attending!*
